First Aid Course for Canine Professionals & Pet Dog Owners

Muttamorphosis has announced a Spring date for this popular Canine First Aid course. Qualified Vet Nurse Emma Foxall joins us to offer her popular course on first aid for canine professionals & pet dog owners. Would you, as a dog professional risk not knowing how to deal with your client’s dog in a first aid emergency? Would you know how to handle an emergency situations with your own dog?
During this day-long course, which includes a certificate of attendance & a first aid booklet, the topics covered are:
- Emergency situations and how to deal with them.
- Wounds and bleeding
- Burns & electrocution
- Common injuries
- Respiratory problems and choking
- Fits/collapsing & CPR
- Parasites, bites & stings
- Heatstroke & frostbite
While this course is mostly theory based, some hands on experience will be offered. The course includes a course handbook, certificate of attendance and tea/coffee/snacks.

Emma Foxall RVN
Emma has worked as a vet nurse with several North East vets for the past 10 years. She is currently Head Nurse at Companion Care Vets, Cramlington. She regularly fosters and re-homes both dogs and cats for local rescues. Emma has taught Puppy School at Croft Vets and has recently started a programme of first aid talks for secondary school children. An avid follower of flyball, Emma founded Karma Kanines in 2010 and regularly competed with her two dogs Elliot and Alfie and her team.
